LPS GroFormula is designed to mimic the natural state of foods that corals and fish alike feed on in reefs. LPS GroFormula is micro-pearl, high protein coral food. Direct feeding and water column feeding were both tested by our Marine Biologists and showed equally great results. Water chemistry is one of the most important aspects to reef keeping and at Barrier Reef Labs is our main priority. We designed the micro pearl so excess food do not dilute into the water-body, instead travel into the filter and are safely removed before they can breakdown causing chemistry spikes. This allows our reefers to remove excess foods prior to decline of water quality. This formula can be used for all corals and particularly well for LPS corals.

• MICRO-PEARL STRUCTURE — CONTROLLED FEEDING, REDUCED WASTE: Barrier Reef Labs LPS Grow Formula uses MICRO-PEARL particles instead of ultra-fine powder, staying suspended in the water rather than dissolving instantly. This allows corals to CAPTURE FOOD directly, improving feeding efficiency while reducing unnecessary dispersion. Because the particles remain intact, UNEATEN FOOD can be REMOVED through FILTRATION after feeding, helping PREVENT OVERFEEDING and NUTRIENT SPIKES while maintaining clean, stable reef conditions.
• TARGET FEEDING + DOSING CLARITY + SAFE ADJUSTMENT: This coral food for saltwater aquariums is designed for TARGET FEEDING as the PRIMARY method, allowing food to reach corals directly with better control. BROADCAST FEEDING can be used when feeding MULTIPLE CORALS across the tank. Follow a BASE DOSING of 100L → 0.3–0.5g per feeding and adjust based on CORAL DENSITY (×0.8–1.2) for accurate results. Turn off skimmer, reduce flow, and allow a CONTROLLED FEEDING WINDOW of 15–20 minutes before restoring filtration.
